The Testing By: Joelle Charbonneau

Evaluate
When evaluating, look closely to determine what is important and significant.
• Evaluate whether the title fits the story.
• Evaluate the quality of the writing.
• Evaluate whether the main character would be worthy of your friendship.

The title definitely fits the story because the whole book is revolved around something called "The Testing." The Testing is just a series of tests. Tests such as a huge maze, a quiz and things to determine your social skills. The way The Testing is that it's  like survival of the fittest but not necessarily. I say it's survival of the fittest because the kids who were selected have to be smart, athletic and ready to anything needed to survive.

The quality of the writing is descriptive and interesting. I say that the authors writing is descriptive because the words that they use just put so many images in my head. I'm not really sure what it was but Charbonneau used really juicy and strong words to describe her book. I also say the writing was interesting. It was a very interesting style of writing because Charnonneau didn't necessarily follow the writing rules. He would start off sentences with random words and I have no idea why that's interesting to me but it just is. I would say that I would want to be friends Cia Vale. She is a very smart and friendly person. Cia is just like most of my friends but I think I can relate to her well, so she would be worthy of my friendship.

  1. Hey Sebastian! Nice Blog! I think you should reread the 1st paragraph 4th sentence, if you reread it you will see the mistake. I like the second prompt you used about the author's writing style, cool. Nice Job!
